The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse enhances versatility with auxiliary contacts and an intricately designed arc chute for smooth load transitions.
In standard operations, the drop-out fuse is securely closed with precise tension on the fuse tube. When faults occur, the fault current rapidly acts, blowing the fuse and igniting an arc. This dynamic arc activates the arc tube, decomposing gas and creating high pressure to form a vertical wind path that skillfully stretches the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact rotates outwards, disengaging the locking mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop decisively. When load pulling is needed, an insulating rod draws out the moving contact, maintaining connection with the static contact. With continuous pressure, auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc that extends within the hood slit. The arc cover contains the gas for efficient arc extinguishment as the current nears zero.

In cases where detailed definitions are absent, the product is adjusted according to JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.

Designed to seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a vital role in safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, while efficiently handling on/off load currents. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises robust insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts strategically fixed and moving contacts expertly affixed at the ends. The fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also includes high-performance, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube tightly closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing gas and creating pressure to extend the arc. Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to gracefully drop out. For cutout load switching, operators skillfully use an insulating bar to draw the moving contact, with the main contact initially engaging the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an arc forms and extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. The arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas, efficiently extinguishing the arc as the current passes through zero.
