General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse represent essential outdoor high-voltage protective solutions, designed as the steadfast guardians of electric systems. Expertly installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses provide exceptional defense against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while skillfully regulating open-circuit load currents. Their robust architecture consists of an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is securely affixed at each end of the insulation bracket, while the moving contact is located at the fuse tube's extremities. Ingeniously engineered, the fuse tube includes an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. With a focus on operational excellence, the pull load drop-out fuse is equipped with agile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational flexibility, especially when managing open or co-load currents.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains closed, keeping the fuse tube and fuse under tension. When a system fault occurs, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, initiating an arc. The arc's intense heat releases a surge of gas from the arc tube, increasing the pressure inside the tube. This action starts a vertical airflow along the pipeline, expertly stretching and elongating the arc. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism, which releases the fuse tube, guiding it into the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact, initially maintaining its connection with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to detach, forming and lengthening an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover's gas facilitates the arc's extinction as the current approaches zero.

It is precisely engineered to meet the stringent GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Should standards ambiguously define crucial parameters and configurations, precision refinements are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 specifications for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they offer vital defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are firmly placed on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts are positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The intricate construction of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults occur, fault currents rapidly melt the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To switch off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
