In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. When faults occur, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube skillfully. Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube to gracefully drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators proficiently use an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact stays engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further drawn, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while the arc-extinguishing mechanism efficiently expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero, ensuring operational reliability.
