General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable high-voltage protective devices, meticulously engineered to safeguard electric systems. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses serve as stalwart defenders against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while expertly managing open-circuit load currents. Their sturdy and sophisticated construction features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; static contacts are solidly anchored at each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are gracefully situated at the fuse tube's termini. Ingeniously designed, the fuse tube incorporates an inner arc tube, elegantly encased by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Embodying operational excellence, the pull load drop-out fuse is equipped with nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational agility and precision, particularly when addressing open or co-load currents.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains closed, ensuring the fuse tube and fuse are snugly secure. Upon the occurrence of a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, generating an arc. The arc's intense heat propels a surge of gas from the arc tube, increasing the pressure inside the tube. This triggers a vertical airflow along the pipeline, deftly stretching and lengthening the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact loses its tension, activating the locking mechanism, which subsequently frees the fuse tube, guiding it to the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is employed to disengage the moving contact, initially preserving its connection with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to disengage, forming and extending an arc within the hood slit. The gas from the arc cover aids in extinguishing the arc when the current diminishes to zero.

It is thoroughly engineered to satisfy the rigorous GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. In cases where standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, precision adjustments are performed in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are vital for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they deliver crucial defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features resilient insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts are stationed at the ends of the fuse tube. The sophisticated design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, skillfully encapsulated by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults occur, fault currents swiftly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To switch off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact stay engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current hits zero.
