General Information
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are the epitome of excellence in outdoor high-voltage electrical protection. Skillfully designed, these devices are strategically placed either on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or serve as pivotal support links in distribution lines. Acting as vigilant guardians, they provide indispensable protection against transformer and line short circuits, overload conditions, and efficiently facilitate the opening and co-loading of current. The drop-out fuse is masterfully crafted with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, featuring static contacts fixed at both ends of the bracket and moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube construction includes an inner arc tube, elegantly paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse offers superior adaptability with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, specifically engineered for smooth current load operations.

During routine operations, the drop-out fuse is firmly secured in a closed position with the fuse tube under tension. In the event of a system malfunction, the fault current swiftly causes the fuse to blow, creating an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, leading to the decomposition of large gas volumes, which in turn generates high pressure inside the tube and a vertical wind path. This ingenious mechanism rapidly stretches and elongates the arc. Once the fuse has blown, the moving contact releases its tension and rotates outward as the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and achieve a breaking position. When the load needs to be pulled, an insulating rod is used to draw the moving contact while it maintains contact with the static contact. With continued effort, the auxiliary contacts part, generating an arc between them which is extended within the hood slit. The gas-contained arc cover aids in extinguishing the arc as the current reaches zero.

In instances where the standards offer limited definitions of crucial parameters and configurations, necessary adjustments are made in accordance with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout stand out as premier solutions for outdoor high-voltage protection. They are designed to integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, playing an indispensable role in defending transformers and lines from short circuits and overload conditions while adeptly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube boasts an internal arc-extinguishing tube, accompanied by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is augmented with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure efficient on-off load current switching.

In regular operational environments, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a tightened, closed position. When faults arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, resulting in the generation of an electric arc. This ignites the arc-extinguishing tube, which heats up and releases copious amounts of gas, creating high pressure and extending the arc throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
