Strategically stationed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, they stand as an impregnable defense against transformer and line short circuits, as well as system overloads, while expertly managing open-circuit load currents. Engineered for resilience, their design boasts an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; static contacts are immovably anchored at each end of the insulation bracket, while dynamic contacts grace the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously constructed, the fuse tube houses an inner arc tube shrouded by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. With operational excellence as its hallmark, the pull load drop-out fuse is enhanced by nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, offering unparalleled operational flexibility, particularly when navigating open or co-load currents.
During routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains in a closed state, with the fuse tube and fuse maintaining tautness. Upon encountering a system fault, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, giving birth to a powerful arc. The arc's intense heat generates a rapid outpouring of gas from the arc tube, escalating the pressure within. This dynamic process initiates a vertical airflow along the pipeline, skillfully stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse blows, the tension on the moving contact dissipates, activating the locking mechanism, which then releases the fuse tube, guiding it into the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact, initially preserving its connection with the static contact. Persistent pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to separate, creating and lengthening an arc within the hood slit. The gas emitted by the arc cover facilitates the arc's extinguishment as the current declines to zero.

Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts serve as indispensable protectors for outdoor high voltage applications. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide essential defense against short circuits and overloads, effortlessly managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely anchored on either side of the insulator support, with moving contacts positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The sophisticated design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents with unmatched efficiency.
Under optimal operating conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults arise, fault currents swiftly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas. This surge in pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. For switch-off during cutout loading, operators employ an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged; however, continued pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an elongated electric arc within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc's extinction as the current approaches zero.
