They provide critical protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while seamlessly managing the opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously engineered, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts firmly secured at both ends of the bracket and moving contacts precisely attached to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube construction incorporates a state-of-the-art inner arc tube, paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube, ensuring robustness and durability. Furthermore, the Pull Load Drop-out Fuse boasts exceptional flexibility, complete with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, crafted specifically for smooth current load operations.

During routine operations, the drop-out fuse is expertly maintained in a secure closed position with the fuse tube in a state of optimal tension. In the event of a system fault, the fault current immediately triggers the fuse to blow, producing an arc. This arc promptly ignites the arc tube, leading to the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, which in turn creates high pressure inside the tube and generates a vertical wind path. This ingenious mechanism swiftly stretches and elongates the arc. In normal operational scenarios, the fuse link plays a vital role, ensuring the fuse tube is precisely tightened to maintain a secure closed position. When faults arise, the fault current acts swiftly, causing the fuse to melt instantly and generate an electric arc. This arc ignites the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant volume of gas, creating high pressure that elongates the arc throughout the tube. Following the melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, seamlessly switching to an open position. For efficient load switching during cutout, operators must skillfully use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which gracefully elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap.
