General Information
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse serve as robust outdoor high-voltage protective devices for electrical systems. Mounted on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a support link in distribution lines, they offer essential short circuit, overload protection, and current handling capabilities. These fuses consist of insulating brackets and fuse tubes; with static contacts on the bracket's extremities and moving contacts on the fuse tube ends. Crafted from an inner arc tube paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth, the device ensures durability. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is engineered with enhanced flexibility, auxiliary contacts, and an arc chute for improved current management.

During standard operations, the fuse tube remains secured in a closed position due to the fuse tension. In the event of a system fault, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, generating an arc. The arc tube, subjected to this arc, decomposes into large quantities of gas, creating high pressure within, and a vertical wind is formed along the pipeline. This stretches and elongates the arc rapidly. When the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension and rotates outward, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, causing it to drop and create a breaking position. To disengage the load, use an insulating rod to pull the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain engaged; however, upon further pulling, the auxiliary contacts separate. An arc appears between the auxiliary contacts, stretches within the hood slit, and is extinguished when the current reaches zero due to the arc cover's gas.

Usage and Compliance Standards
This innovative product is designed for use within 10 to 35KV distribution line branches and the primary side of distribution transformers, providing vital overload and short circuit protection. It facilitates the seamless separation and combination of rated load currents.
The product adheres to the model preparation guidelines outlined in JB/T8321-1996 for AC high-voltage fuses. Developed in accordance with GB15166.3-1994 for Expulsion Fuses standards, this product fills gaps where parameters and configurations are not clearly defined. It incorporates corrections as per JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements, catering to 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology demands.
Both the Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices. By connecting with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a crucial role in safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, while managing on/off loading currents. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout comprises insulated supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts fixed on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts at the tube ends. The fuse tube features an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient current management.

Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. However, when system faults occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt immediately, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a large amount of gas and creating high pressure, blowing the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops, resulting in an open position. For load switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected; as the auxiliary contact is pulled and separates, an electric arc forms and lengthens in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. The arc is extinguished by the gas released, particularly as the current passes through zero.
