The fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube, paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly secured in position. Upon encountering faults, the fault current efficiently melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Following the melting process, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock as the fuse tube transitions to an open position.
