The Drop-out Fuse and Load Switching Drop-out Fuse are robust outdoor high-voltage protective devices essential for electrical safety. Strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or at connection points in distribution lines, they provide reliable protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and enable safe load current handling. The drop-out fuse is ingeniously crafted with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes. Static contacts are securely placed at both ends of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are installed on the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube itself consists of an inner arc tube and an outer shell of either phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The innovative pull load drop-out fuse enhances operational flexibility, incorporating auxiliary contacts and an arc chute designed for efficient load current management.

Under normal circumstances, the drop-out fuse maintains a closed position due to the tension of the fuse tube. In the event of a system failure, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an arc. This arc energizes the arc tube, which rapidly generates substantial gas volumes, resulting in high pressure within the tube and causing a powerful vertical wind along the conduit. This dynamic action quickly stretches and elongates the arc. Once the fuse blows, the loss of tension allows the moving contact to pivot outward, disengaging the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, thus achieving the breaking position. For load disengagement, an insulating rod is employed to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain engaged. Further application of the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to separate, forming an arc. This arc extends within the hood slit, where it encounters gas. As the current reaches zero, the arc extinguishes, ensuring a secure and efficient interruption of the circuit.

Use and Standards
Designed for integration within 10 to 35KV distribution lines, this product excels in managing branching lines and primary sides of distribution transformers. It offers exceptional protection against overloads and short circuits while facilitating seamless separation and combination of the rated load current.
Our product model adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse types. Parameters are rigorously constructed in alignment with GB15166.3-1994 standards for expulsion fuses, ensuring compliance with the highest industry benchmarks. Where standards lack specification in key parameters or configurations, adjustments are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high-voltage drop fuses.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts stand as indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Positioned strategically at distribution transformer inlets or within distribution lines, they deliver unmatched protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and allow efficient on/off load current management. The drop-out fuse cutout features an insulating support and a fuse tube. Static contacts are fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube comprises an inner arc-extinguishing tube enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for seamless on-off load current operations.

In standard operation, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube is securely fixed in a closed position. Upon detecting system faults, the fault-induced current swiftly melts the fuse link, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes. This process generates high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering a mechanism lock that causes the fuse tube to drop out, shifting the cutout to an open position. When load switching is necessary, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. Continued pulling causes the auxiliary contact to separate, fostering an electric arc that extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, arc-extinguishing gas is released to eliminate the arc as the current nears zero, ensuring a precise and effective current interruption.
