The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse stand as the epitome of outdoor high-voltage electrical protection solutions. Strategically engineered, these devices are positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or integrated within distribution lines as vital protective links. They act as indispensable barriers, shielding against transformer and line short circuits, overload scenarios, and facilitating concurrent current opening and loading operations. Ingeniously crafted, the drop-out fuse comprises an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts firmly attached at both ends of the bracket, while moving contacts are precisely affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. Its robust construction features an inner arc tube paired with an outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is designed for optimal adaptability, featuring auxiliary contacts and an arc chute that ensure seamless current load operations.
During routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely locked in a closed position, with the fuse tube maintained under tension. In the event of a system fault, the fault current acts rapidly, blowing the fuse and producing an arc. This arc energizes the arc tube, resulting in the decomposition of considerable gas volumes which create high pressure within the tube, forging a vertical wind path. This ingenious mechanism swiftly stretches and elongates the arc. Post-blow, the moving contact relinquishes its tension, rotating outward, and the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop into a breaking position. When a load pull is required, an insulating rod is adeptly used to draw the moving contact, ensuring it remains in contact with the static contact. With persistence, the auxiliary contacts disengage, creating a dynamic arc between them, extended within the hood slit. The arc cover, equipped to manage gas, aids in extinguishing the arc as the current approaches zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is meticulously crafted for application in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branching segments and the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides formidable protection against overloads and short circuits while enabling the effective separation and integration of the rated load current.
The precise engineering of this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 standards for AC high-voltage fuse preparation, with product parameters aligning with GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In instances where standards lack comprehensive definitions of key parameters and configurations, modifications are made in accordance with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technological requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premier within outdoor high-voltage protective device categories. Thoughtfully designed for seamless connection with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they serve a pivotal role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload states while expertly handling the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely fastened on both sides of the insulator support, and moving contacts strategically positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube boasts an internal arc-extinguishing tube alongside an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with fortified elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, optimizing on-off load current switching with remarkable efficiency.
In standard operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is firmly tightened to maintain a closed posture. When faults arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat and release a copious amount of gas, creating elevated pressure and extending the arc throughout the tube. Following the fuse link's melting, the moving contact loses its tension, permitting the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains connected with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further disengaged, an electric arc emerges between the auxiliary contacts, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current traverses through zero.
