General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are hallmark solutions for high-voltage outdoor protection, expertly engineered to safeguard distribution transformers and lines. Positioned with precision on the high-voltage side, they function as critical defense mechanisms against short circuits, overloads, and facilitate seamless current load transitions. Ingeniously constructed, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket with fuse tubes, static contacts at the bracket's ends, and moving contacts at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube itself boasts an inner arc tube, complemented by an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube, ensuring durability and reliability. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse elevates operational flexibility, incorporating auxiliary contacts and an arc chute for superior performance in current load operations.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed, with the tube held under tension. Upon system failure, the fault current rapidly disrupts the fuse, creating an arc that ignites the arc tube. This process decomposes a significant amount of gas, building high pressure and forming a vertical wind path, efficiently stretching the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact releases and rotates outward, enabling the fuse tube to drop into a breaking position. For load operations, an insulating rod is used to manipulate the moving contact, maintaining engagement with the static contact. Continued effort separates the auxiliary contacts, forming an arc that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, designed to contain gas, aids in extinguishing the arc as the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
This superior product is crafted for application in 10 to 35KV distribution networks, including branch lines and primary transformer sides. It delivers robust protection against overloads and short circuits, while proficiently managing the separation and combination of rated load currents.
Meticulously crafted, this product aligns with JB/T8321-1996 AC high-voltage fuse preparation standards. It adheres to GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards, with additional adjustments following JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses where necessary standards are not specified.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are elite outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed for seamless integration with incoming feeders of transformers or lines, they are indispensable in protecting against short circuits and overloads while efficiently managing on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout includes insulating supports, fuse tubes, static contacts on both insulator sides, and moving contacts at the tube ends. The fuse tube integrates an internal arc-extinguishing tube, paired with an outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout incorporates enhanced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for smooth load current switching.
In standard operations, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is securely closed. Upon faults, the fault current melts the fuse, forming an arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing gas to elongate the arc. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop into an open position. For cutout load switching, operators use an insulating rod to manipulate the moving contact, initially keeping the main contact engaged with the static contact. As the auxiliary contact is pulled further, an arc forms and stretches within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. The arc-extinguishing mechanism then expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
