Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube to elegantly drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators skillfully employ an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact stays engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further drawn out, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to proficiently extinguish the arc as the current transitions through zero.
