General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices, expertly designed to safeguard the integrity of electric systems. Positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses provide indomitable protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while skillfully managing open-circuit load currents. Their durable construction comprises an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is firmly anchored at each end of the insulation bracket, with the moving contact strategically located at the fuse tube's endpoints. Ingeniously crafted, the fuse tube features an inner arc tube, protected by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Optimized for exceptional performance, the pull load drop-out fuse is fitted with nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational versatility, particularly when addressing open or co-load currents.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed, keeping both the fuse tube and fuse tight. Upon encountering a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, generating an arc. The arc's intense heat triggers a release of gas from the arc tube, increasing the pressure within. This incites a vertical airflow along the pipeline, expertly stretching and elongating the arc. The cessation of tension in the moving contact as the fuse blows activates the locking mechanism, releasing the fuse tube and guiding it into the break position. For load pulling operations, an insulating rod is used to detach the moving contact while initially maintaining its connection with the static contact. Consistent pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to separate, forming and extending an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover's gas facilitates the arc's extinction as the current approaches zero.

In alignment with exemplary standards, the product model conforms to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It is precisely engineered to meet the rigorous GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Should standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, meticulous adjustments are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are crucial for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly incorporated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide vital defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, with moving contacts resting at the terminals of the fuse tube. The complex design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts resilient elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. When faults occur, fault currents quickly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the tension in the moving contact is lost, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transforming the cutout to an open state. To switch off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, creating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
