General Information
Our Drop-Out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-Out Fuse are expertly designed to serve as outdoor high-voltage electrical protection devices. These fuses are strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or the Support Link of distribution lines, providing robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and facilitating open and co-load current control. Crafted with precision, the Drop-Out Fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts mounted at both ends of the insulation bracket and moving contacts fitted at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is intricately constructed with an inner arc tube and an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. Enhanced with flexibility, the Pull Load Drop-Out Fuse includes auxiliary contacts and an arc chute to efficiently manage open and co-load currents.

During standard operations, the Drop-Out Fuse maintains a closed position, with fuse tension keeping the tube secure. In the event of a fault, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, initiating an arc. The arc tube, ignited by the electric arc, decomposes to release large volumes of gas, generating high pressure within the tube, which extends vertically along the pipeline. This process elongates and stretches the arc rapidly. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, which then drops to form the breaking position. When pulling the load, the operator uses an insulating rod to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain engaged. By continuing to pull with the insulating rod, the auxiliary contacts separate. An arc forms between the auxiliary contacts and extends within the hood slit. As the arc cover contains gas, the arc extinguishes once the current reaches zero.

Usage and Industry Standards
Specifically engineered for 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and primary sides of distribution transformers, this product excels in providing overload and short circuit protection, as well as handling the separation and combination of rated load currents with unmatched efficiency.
The product model adheres to the specifications of JB/T8321-1996 for AC high-voltage fuses. The parameters align with the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high-voltage expulsion fuses. Although the standards do not explicitly define critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made in accordance with the interim technology requirements outlined in JB/DQ2139-1986 for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
Designed as an outdoor high-voltage protective device, the Drop-Out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines. Their primary function is to safeguard transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading currents. Comprising insulator supports and a robust fuse tube, the Drop-Out Fuse Cutout includes static contacts fixed on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube, equipped with an inside arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube, is complemented by enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently handle switching on-off load currents.

In regular operation, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. If the system encounters faults, the resultant fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas and producing high pressure that pushes the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its securing strength, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops, leaving the cutout in an open position. When switching off during cutout loading, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the operator continues to pull, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an electric arc between them. This arc extends in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while the arc-extinguishing process releases gas to extinguish the arc once the current reaches zero.
