General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are indispensable elements of outdoor high-voltage electrical protection systems. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a critical Support Link on distribution lines, they serve as formidable guardians against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and current management tasks. Constructed with a robust insulating bracket and integral fuse tubes, both static and moving contacts are meticulously installed at pivotal points, forming a dynamic system of resilience. The fuse tube, comprised of an advanced inner arc tube and an outer shield made of phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth, ensures superior performance. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse stands as a testament to engineering excellence, providing enhanced flexibility with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute that elevates its capability to manage load currents seamlessly.
In normal operations, the drop-out fuse showcases its sophistication as the fuse tube, under tension, maintains a steadfast closed position. Upon system failure, the fault current swiftly activates the fuse, creating a powerful arc. The arc tube's meticulous design allows it to endure the arc's intensity, releasing copious gas and creating a robust high-pressure environment within the tube. This orchestrated event extends and elongates the arc rapidly. Post-fuse activation, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the release of the fuse tube, which then naturally assumes a breaking position. When initiating a load pull, the insulating rod plays a crucial role by engaging the moving contact. At this juncture, a temporary union of the moving and static contacts persists. As the insulating rod continues its motion, the auxiliary contacts separate, sparking an arc within the hood's slit. The arc cover, now bustling with activity, suppresses the arc as the current wanes to zero, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
Use and Standards
This innovative product finds its specialized application in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, specifically within branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. It is expertly crafted to offer robust overload and short circuit protection while adeptly managing the Separation and Integration of the rated load current.
The product model adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses. Its design parameters align with the GB15166.3-1994 high-voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. Although the standards may not explicitly define every parameter and configuration, the product is refined according to the JB/DQ2139-1986 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology requirements, ensuring cutting-edge innovation and reliability.

The load switching fuse cutout further distinguishes itself with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, setting new standards in switching on-off loading current capabilities.
During standard operation, the fuse link, when tightened, affirms the fuse tube's fixed closed position. Should system faults arise, the fault current prompts an immediate fuse melt, inciting an electric arc. This arc escalates the arc-extinguishing tube's temperature, releasing an explosion of gas. This phenomenon generates high pressure and propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tightened strength, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open position. During load cutout switching, operators utilize an insulating bar to maneuver the moving contact, initially maintaining contact with the auxiliary static contact. As the pull progresses, the auxiliary contacts part, triggering an arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing system releases gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero, guaranteeing a safe and controlled environment.
