The fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube, combined with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout includes adaptable, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current management.
In normal operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly secured. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes to generate high pressure and elongate the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As further force is applied, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap.
