The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse stand as paramount guardians of outdoor high-voltage electrical safety. These expertly engineered devices are meticulously placed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or integrated into distribution lines, forming indispensable bulwarks against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overload scenarios. Their design facilitates seamless current operation while safeguarding the system. Ingeniously constructed, the drop-out fuse incorporates an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts at each bracket's end and moving contacts at the tube's extremities. Featuring an inner arc tube, complemented by an exterior phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube, the device is both robust and reliable. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse excels with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, tailored for effortless current load management.
In everyday operation, the drop-out fuse is finely tuned to remain securely closed, with the fuse tube perfectly tensioned. When disruptions arise, the fault current triggers the fuse to blow, producing an arc. This ignites the arc tube, causing substantial gas release and pressure build-up within, creating a dynamic vertical airflow that impressively elongates the arc. Upon fuse blowout, moving contacts rotate outward as tension releases, and the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop into a breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod expertly maneuvers the moving contact, maintaining engagement with the static contact. Continued effort separates auxiliary contacts, forming and stretching an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover containing gas aids arc extinguishment as current descends to zero, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

This exceptional product is meticulously crafted for use in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branching circuits and on the primary side of distribution transformers. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are elite outdoor high-voltage protective solutions. Engineered to seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they are pivotal in defending transformers and lines against short circuits and overloads while adeptly managing on/off load currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating supports with fuse tubes, static contacts on both sides, and moving contacts at the tube ends. The fuse tube boasts an internal arc-extinguishing tube alongside an outer phenolic or epoxy glass composite, ensuring reliable performance. The load switching fuse cutout includes reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, optimizing load current switching with precision.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly sealed in a closed position. In the event of a fault, the fault current melts the fuse instantly, generating an arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas amounts and creating high pressure to elongate the arc through the tube. Post-melting, the moving contact loses tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to an open state. For load switching during cutout, operators deploy an insulating bar to manipulate the moving contact, keeping the main contact with the auxiliary static contact initially. Further pulling separates the auxiliary contact, forming an arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, gas expulsion aids arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero, ensuring controlled, safe operations.
