The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout stand proudly as the premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Intentionally designed to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they serve a crucial role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while capably managing the on/off load current. After melting, the moving contact loses its tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
