General
The drop-out fuse and pull-load drop-out fuse are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They are strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or distribution line supports to offer paramount protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and facilitate seamless open and co-load current operations. Constructed from durable insulating brackets and fuse tubes, these fuses feature static contacts at each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are affixed to both ends of the fuse tube. The robust fuse tube consists of an inner arc tube and an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. Enhanced flexibility in auxiliary contacts and an arc chute in the pull-load drop-out fuse ensure exceptional performance in open and co-load current scenarios, redefining reliability.

During standard operation, the fuse tube, under fuse tension, maintains a closed position. Upon system failure, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, creating an arc. The arc tube, ignited by the electric arc, decomposes substantial gas volumes, generating high pressure within the tube and creating a strong vertical wind along the pipeline, swiftly stretching and elongating the arc. Post-fuse blow, the moving contact loses tension and releases, triggering the locking mechanism to disengage the fuse tube, which then drops, achieving a breaking position. During load pulling, an insulating rod pulls the moving contact, initially maintaining contact with the static contact. As the insulating rod continues pulling, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an arc between them. This arc elongates within the hood slit, where the arc cover, filled with gas, extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.

This remarkable product is designed for use in 10 to 35KV distribution lines branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. It offers exceptional overload and short circuit protection, efficiently managing the separation and combination of the rated load current for ultimate reliability.
Our product is engineered to meet JB/T8321-1996 standards for AC high-voltage fuses. Furthermore, it adheres to GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage expulsion fuses. To address any undefined parameters and configurations, we adopt JB/DQ2139-198610 standards for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, ensuring our product stands out in quality and performance.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are robust outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they primarily safeguard transformers and lines from short circuits, overloads, and enable smooth on/off loading operations. Comprising insulated insulator supports and fuse tubes, the static contacts are strategically affixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are aligned at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an inside arc-extinguishing tube with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Load switching fuse cutouts offer reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring superior performance for on-off loading currents.

In standard operations, the fuse link tightly secures the fuse tube, forming a closed position. When a system fault occurs, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas. This generates high pressure and propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, unlocking the mechanism, and causing the fuse tube to drop out, shifting the cutout to an open position. During load switching, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc between them. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero, ensuring a secure and reliable operation.
