The drop-out fuse and pull-load drop-out fuse are vital outdoor high-voltage protection devices for electrical systems. Strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as key components in distribution lines, they serve to safeguard transformers and lines by providing short circuit and overload protection, as well as facilitating the opening and closing of co-load currents. These fuses are ingeniously crafted with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes. The static contacts are securely positioned at both ends of the insulation bracket, while the moving contacts are adeptly installed on each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is an engineering marvel, comprising an inner arc tube and an outer shell made from either a phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull-load drop-out fuse is further enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, allowing it to operate seamlessly in managing open and co-load currents.

In normal operation, the drop-out fuse maintains a secure closed position thanks to the tension in the fuse tube. However, in the event of a system fault, the fault current rapidly blows the fuse, triggering the formation of an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, resulting in the decomposition of vast amounts of gas that create a high-pressure environment within the tube. This pressure generates a powerful vertical wind along the pipeline, swiftly stretching and elongating the arc. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses its tension, and the mechanism releases the fuse tube, which drops, forming a breaking position. For load-switching, an insulating rod is used to pull the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts maintain contact. As the insulating rod continues to pull, the auxiliary contacts separate, creating an arc that stretches within the hood slit. This arc is extinguished when the current reaches zero, thanks to the gas within the arc cover.

Use and Standards
This exceptional product is specifically designed for use in 10 to 35KV distribution line branching lines and on the primary side of distribution transformers. It is engineered to provide robust overload and short circuit protection while adeptly managing the separation and combination of the rated load current.
The product models have been meticulously developed following the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses. Parameters are meticulously crafted according to the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage expulsion fuses. To ensure precision, any ambiguities in the standards are clarified using the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load-switching fuse cutouts are pivotal outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They are seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, offering essential protection against short circuits and overload, while managing the on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously constructed with insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are installed at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load-switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient management of switching on-off loading currents.

In normal operation, the fuse link tightly secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Should the system encounter a fault, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse link, triggering an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a significant amount of gas. This results in high pressure that blows below the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, locking the mechanism and causing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. During load cutout switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, it separates, resulting in an electric arc between the auxiliary contacts. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where the arc-extinguishing gas blows it off when the current reaches zero.
