General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are paramount outdoor high-voltage protective devices, indispensable for maintaining the integrity and safety of electrical systems. These fuses are strategically positioned on the high-voltage end of distribution transformers, or serve as critical components in the web of distribution lines. Their principal purpose is to shield against transformer and line short circuits, efficiently manage overload situations, and enable seamless open-circuit load current operations. Expertly crafted with an insulating bracket paired with robust fuse tubes, the static contact is meticulously anchored at both extremities of the insulation bracket, while ingenious moving contacts are affixed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube boasts an inner arc tube, skillfully encased by either a durable phenolic paper tube or a resilient epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull load drop-out fuse is enhanced with agile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, significantly elevating its operational dexterity during open-circuit or co-load current scenarios.
During standard operational conditions, the drop-out fuse is securely closed, with the fuse tube and fuse held under tension. In the face of a system fault, the ensuing fault current swiftly melts the fuse, igniting an arc. The arc tube, bathed in the intense heat of the arc, discharges a voluminous amount of gas, generating significant pressure within the tube. This results in a dynamic vertical wind along the pipeline, which skillfully stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact's tension is relieved, activating the locking mechanism, liberating the fuse tube, and allowing it to transition into the breaking position. To execute a load pull, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact. Initially maintaining connection with the static contact, continued pulling with the insulating rod eventually separates the auxiliary contacts, causing an arc to form and elongate within the hood slit. The gas within the arc cover plays a crucial role in quenching the arc when the current hits zero.
Use and Standards
This advanced product is meticulously engineered for use in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, as well as on the primary side of distribution transformers. It offers unparalleled protection against overloads and short circuits, while proficiently managing the separation and integration of rated load currents.
The product model is crafted in strict adherence to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It is systematically aligned with the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage fuses expulsion fuses. Where standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made in full compliance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are pivotal outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide essential protection against short circuits and overloads, while adeptly handling on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely affixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are strategically installed at the fuse tube ends. The architecture of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, which is skillfully surrounded by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or a durable epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with resilient elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, adeptly managing on-off loading current with precision and reliability.
Under standard working conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely in a closed position. Upon the occurrence of system faults, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, igniting an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube and releases a substantial volume of gas, generating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. When the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. To switch off during cutout loading, operators employ an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged; however, further pulling results in the disengagement of the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero.
