General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse represent the pinnacle of outdoor high-voltage protection devices, masterfully engineered to shield electric systems from adversity. Positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or integrated within distribution lines, these advanced fuses provide robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while efficiently managing open-circuit load currents. Their sophisticated build includes an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; with static contacts steadfastly mounted on each end of the insulation bracket, and the dynamic moving contact located at the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously designed, the fuse tube houses an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Crafted for superior performance, the pull load drop-out fuse is enhanced with nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, significantly boosting its operational versatility, particularly when handling open or co-load currents.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains closed, maintaining the fuse tube and fuse in a taut state. Upon a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, birthing a fierce arc. The intense heat of the arc causes an effusion of gas from the arc tube, increasing the internal pressure within the tube. This action triggers a vertical airflow through the pipeline, adeptly stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact's tension is released, triggering the locking mechanism to disengage, thus releasing the fuse tube and facilitating its movement into the breaking position. For load disconnection, an insulating rod is utilized to withdraw the moving contact, initially keeping it in connection with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod results in the auxiliary contacts disengaging, forming and extending an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover's gas aids in extinguishing the arc when the current diminishes to zero.
Use and Standards
This product is distinguished by its innovative design, specifically created for 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branch lines, and the primary sides of distribution transformers. It serves as a formidable barrier against overloads and short circuits, while adeptly facilitating the separation and union of rated load currents.
Conforming to exemplary standards, the product model complies with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It is precisely engineered to align with the stringent GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Where standards ambiguously outline critical parameters and configurations, precise adjustments are meticulously made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly incorporated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide crucial defense against short circuits and overloads, expertly managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout is composed of an insulating support and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, with moving contacts placed at the ends of the fuse tube. The complex design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout features resilient elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring expert management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operational conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains firmly closed. When faults arise, fault currents quickly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing abundant gas. This high pressure drives the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the tension in the moving contact is released, activating the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube is released, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To disconnect during cutout loading, operators employ an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current drops to zero.
