Moving contacts are elegantly mounted at the ends of the fuse tube, which is enhanced with an advanced inner arc tube and a durable outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse boasts exceptional versatility with auxiliary contacts and a specially designed arc chute to ensure smooth transitions during current load changes.
In normal operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed, with the fuse tube precisely tensioned. When a fault occurs, the fault current rapidly blows the fuse, creating an arc that ignites the arc tube. This process decomposes a large volume of gas, generating high pressure within the tube to establish a vertical wind path that stretches the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact gracefully rotates outward, the locking mechanism disengages, and the fuse tube descends to a definitive breaking position. During load-pulling operations, an insulating rod is used to draw the moving contact while maintaining its connection with the static contact. As force continues, auxiliary contacts separate, producing an arc that extends within the hood slit. The arc cover effectively contains the gas, aiding in efficient arc extinguishment as the current nears zero.

In instances where specific definitions are lacking, adjustments are made according to the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout epitomize high-performance outdoor high-voltage protective devices. These devices are expertly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. They play a crucial role in protecting transformers and lines from short circuits and overload conditions while adeptly managing on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout features sturdy insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely affixed on both sides and moving contacts expertly attached to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube includes a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further incorporates high-performance elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently handle on-off load current switching.
During typical operation, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube tightly closed. When faults occur, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial amounts of gas and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to gracefully drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators skillfully use an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains interconnected with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
