General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices, crucial for the safeguarding and reliable operation of electrical systems. These devices are strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as integral links in distribution lines. They ensure robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, prevent overloads, and facilitate efficient open-circuit load currents. Their construction features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts securely affixed at the bracket's ends, while moving contacts are meticulously mounted at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube is crafted with precision, incorporating an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube, ensuring durability and functional integrity. The pull load drop-out fuse, designed for enhanced operational flexibility, is equipped with innovative flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ideal for managing open or co-load currents.
In standard operating conditions, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed, with the fuse tube and fuse under optimal tension. In the event of a system failure, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an intense arc. The arc tube, exposed to this heat, releases significant gas volumes, creating high pressure within the tube. This results in a powerful vertical wind along the pipeline, effectively stretching and elongating the arc. When the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism, releasing the fuse tube, and allowing it to drop into its breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is used to effectively disengage the moving contact while initially maintaining contact with the static contact. Continued operation with the insulating rod leads to the separation of auxiliary contacts, with the arc forming and elongating within the hood slit. The gas within the arc cover plays a critical role in ensuring the arc's extinguishing when the current reaches zero.

It is adeptly engineered to handle the separation and combination of rated load currents with utmost efficiency.
This product model is meticulously aligned with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It meets the rigorous standards of GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses. In cases where standards are ambiguous regarding crucial parameters and configurations, corrections are made in accordance with the precise requirements of JB/DQ2139-1986 for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are pivotal as outdoor high voltage protective devices. They seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, providing indispensable protection against short circuits and overloads, while managing on/off loading currents with precision. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises durable insulate insulator supports and a robust fuse tube, with static contacts securely located on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts expertly installed at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube's sophisticated design includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube, ensuring reliable performance. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure to adeptly manage on-off loading current scenarios.
Under normal working conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is firmly secured in a closed position. In the event of system faults, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube and releases substantial gas, generating high pressure that effectively blows the arc along the tube. Upon melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism's lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. During cutout loading switch-off, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to efficiently pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, causing an electric arc to elongate within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero, ensuring safety and reliability.
